Unifying disparate data into a one-stop-shop has been a consistent theme across projects and clients. These data are aggregated, translated, and ultimately packaged in a user-friendly way.
Woods Hole Group
Woods Hole Group requires satellite, model, and in-situ data management expertise to keep up with growing oil and gas client demands. Second Creek architected, designed, and implemented the databases, mapping engines, and websites that collectively make up the Woods Hole Group Mapper. The Mapper is the foundation of their EddyWatch, SurveyWatch, and RouteWatch programs. Second Creek's homepage image is taken from the Mapper.
Second Creek provided design leadership and software development support to RPS Group's OceansMap suite. OceansMap is at the core of The Integrated Ocean Observing System Environmental Data Server (IOOS EDS) Model Viewer and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Association Coastal Ocean Observing System (MARACOOS) Data Portal.
University of North Carolina - Wilmington
The University of North Carolina - Wilmington Coastal Ocean Research and Monitoring Program (CORMP) supports the marine community and National Weather Service forecasters. Second Creek created an Amazon cloud-based data management system and public web interface to collect and present their buoy data. The system runs as the backbone for the Southeast Coastal Ocean Observing Regional Association (SECOORA) Marine Weather Portal.
PeopleGIS is a data management firm catering to municipalities. Second Creek supported frontend and backend development of PeopleGIS's Base Platform (PeopleForms and MapsOnline). The PeopleGIS platform is an ensemble of highly available Docker instances deployed in the cloud. Second Creek also provided geospatial expertise to integrate asset monitoring into their SnowOps application.
